They say when looking for a good restaurant look for a crowded place. Takako and I were looking for a place to eat in Shanghai on a popular street with lots of choices. A couple places were so crowded that the lines were out the door. We were overwhelmed by crowds in Shanghai which has a population of 24 million people making it the most populous city in China. But, the volume of people were anticipated considering the 1,357,000,000 people that make up the Republic of China. We decided to settle for a place that was fairly crowded but had a great seafood selection with little barbecues on the tables. It turned out to be the perfect choice of BBQ meats, seafood, and my favorite Chinese beer, Tsingtao.
