On the bike ride I met lots of cool and interesting people. Some of the people I planned to see and some I met by chance. At 10 miles an hour you have a lot of time to talk to people on the road. After long stretches of being on the empty road, its nice to see a friendly face. I can remember the countless times I spent riding without seeing a trace of a person or a vehicle.
