It's about a German tourist Jasmine Munchgstetter played by Marianne Sagebrecht who gets in a fight on the side of the road with her husband and decides to walk through the desert and finds the Bagdad Cafe. Her husband drives off and leaves her.
The Story begins as Marianna changes the Dynamics of the cafe with her personality. And forever changes this little cafe in the middle of nowhere.
Marianne is more popular in France than her home country of Germany. 75% of the tourists that visit this Cafe are from France up to hundreds of people a day stop at this remote location. Because of a movie that was made 30 years ago.
